Bethlehem police were heading to his apartment on an arrest warrant for additional charges on Wednesday and in the course of the arrest observed the illicit materials, according to the department's Lt. Thomas Heffernan. They arrested the couple and obtained a search warrant before returning.
In both instances, police said it's unclear why the couple had the weapons. They've allegedly refused to speak with police. State Police said the investigation into the May arrests was taken over by the Bureau of Criminal Investigations, but it was not immediately clear what the status of the case is.
Rauche and Bradford were both remanded to Albany County jail without bail and are scheduled to reappear in Bethlehem Town Court on Tuesday, July 12.
