He said the film company is looking for a 16- to 17-year-old male who is Hispanic, or looks Hispanic, for a role in the film. He said previous acting experience isn't required. Schenectady isn't new to film crews seeking it out as a location, said Rittner. Nine productions have been filmed in the area over the past year. Recently the city was used for street scenes for a Discovery Channel show called "Dangerous Women."
Though Rittner said he couldn't release too much information about the film, he said he is excited about it.
"Once they let me talk, there are really some good stories here," he said.
