Niskayuna CVS reopens with larger footprint, drive-thru

— Patrons of the CVS store might also notice some familiar faces when visiting the store.

“The crew that is here was our town folks that were here in the old building,” Schember said. “All of the people that were in the existing building that all live in this community are all working in this building as well.”

She said the employees were placed at different CVS locations during construction, so they weren’t out of work during the redevelopment. She added the store has a great team and she was pleased to have the workers return. The store employs about 25.

Landry thanked David Ray of Gordon Development for providing a smooth construction process on the busy intersection.

“We had very, very few problems during the construction,” Landry said. “When you take a site like this on a very busy intersection and have very few problems with traffic during this whole thing we are very pleased with that.”
