I am going to work hard with the Town staff, Town Board and other elected officials to tackle Bethlehem's challenges. But this work cannot be the province of government alone, and the community is often far more willing to consider transformative changes. So I’m going to work with community organizations, businessmen and women, and everyone else who wants to be involved, regardless of their political orientation. My loyalty will always be to the to the citizens and my door will always be open to you.
Together, we have to move forward with real solutions without delay. The challenges we face require us to be bold and not timid in the face of tough choices. Bethlehem is too good a Town to fail at these tasks. It is too good a Town to be anything less than exemplary in every conceivable way.
Thank you again to all who voted. I will do my best to represent you and I hope that those who voted for me, as well as those who did not, will not be disappointed.
John Clarkson, Supervisor-Elect
