Letters: Southworth a steward for town

— Editor, The Spotlight:

The old saying “Experience Matters” is clearly evident in Ballston. Patti Southworth is a prime example of those words. She is truly a seasoned professional and continues to guide Ballston during these tough financial times. Her stewardship has kept Ballston Town and Highway tax free.

While others concern themselves with getting elected and playing dirty political games our supervisor’s only agenda is working for the people of Ballston. Supervisor Southworth’s opponent admitted in his own words that “Experience Matters” when referring to Patti. Patti’s experience as our town supervisor clearly is an advantage to all that live here.

Patti is proactive and gets the job done for all of us. While others try to manufacture problems in town, Southworth is focused on resolution of real concerns that affect our town.

Southworth has applied common sense business practices to Ballston Government. Like working within a sound stable budget and not spending more than what comes in. As Patti likes to say, “those in government have to stop believing that the taxpayers wallet has a never ending supply of cash in it. We need to spend within in our means and plan for the future”.
