In other cross country action last weekend, the Voorheesville girls placed third at Saturday’s Glover Invitational at Maple Hill High School in Schodack. The Blackbirds had three runners in the top 20 and finished with 106 points, 22 points behind runner-up Berne-Knox-Westerlo. Scotia-Glenville won the girls team title with 67 points.

Senior Sawyer Cresap placed eighth overall for Voorheesville with a time of 21:04. Senior Michelyn Little was 16th with a time of 21:38, and seventh grader Robin Wakeley finished 17th with a time of 21:40.

The Voorheesville boys team took seventh place at the Glover Invitational with 167 points. BKW won with 50 points, while Berlin placed second with 89 points.

Junior Joe Becker led Voorheesville with a fourth-place finish in a time of 16:37, while senior David Vandevort finished 23rd with a time of 18:30.
