Elliott helps Fillies at Scarsdale Tournament

Latham native plays with downstate softball team

Latham native Chelsea Elliott helped the Ulster Fillies travel softball team finish with a 1-1-2 record at last weekend's Scarsdale Tournament.

Elliott had a double and two singles in Ulster's first game, a 10-10 tie against the Traditions. Elliott drove in three runs and scored another.

Elliott continued her hot hitting in the second game, a 4-4 tie against the EC Tsunami. She had a pair of singles as part of Ulster's eight-hit attack.

The Fillies handled the Long Island Bandits 15-1 in the third game, with Elliott contributing am RBI single and two runs. Elliott was limited to a walk in Ulster's 8-7 extra-inning loss to the Traditions in the final game.
