BETHLEHEM — Bethlehem police are searching for a man they say held up the Petrol gas station on Route 9W in Glenmont early this morning.
Police said the clerk at the store reported the robbery at 1:39 a.m., and said a black male showed a handgun and demanded money. He fled on to the south, police said.
A search was conducted but came up empty. The amount of money stolen was not immediately known.
The suspect was described as standing about 5-foot 10-inches, having high cheekbones and wearing a light-blue hooded sweatshirt.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Bethlehem police at 439-9973. The Petrol station is located at 294 Route 9W.
