Delaney McDonough led the Indians (4-5) with victories in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard backstroke. Casey Young (200-yard freestyle), Carly Gill (diving), Shannon Russo (100-yard butterfly) and Savannah Hotaling (100-yard breaststroke) also posted individual wins.
In a battle of state-ranked girls cross country teams, Shaker pulled out a 25-30 victory over Niskayuna in Tuesday's Suburban Council duel meet in Niskayuna.
Shaker's Maryanna Lansing won the 2.9-mile race with a time of 18:58.94. Niskayuna's Felicia Sciortino was second with a time of 19:10.97, and teammate Shannon Trant placed third with a time of 19:20.31. But the next three runners across the finish line were from Shaker, which made the difference in the meet.
Shaker also defeated Ballston Spa 15-48, while Niskayuna defeated Ballston Spa 16-43. Lydia Freehafer paced the Scotties with an 11th-place finish in a time of 20:45.98.
On the boys' side, Shaker swept the duel meet with Niskayuna and Ballston Spa. The Blue Bison defeated Niskayuna 18-42 and beat Ballston Spa 15-48. Niskayuna pulled out a 22-33 victory over Ballston Spa.
Ryan Recchia and Christian Delago returned from injuries to lead Shaker with a 1-2 finish in the duel meet. Recchia won with a time of 16:34.20, and Delago placed second with a time of 16:43.54. Four more Blue Bison finished between fourth and seventh place.
Niall Williams paced Niskayuna with a third-place finish in a time of 16:51.61. Tyler Leicht finished eighth with a time of 17:33.94 for Ballston Spa.
