Editor, The Spotlight:
As a lifelong resident, an owner of several local businesses over the years, and a former candidate for Town Supervisor, I wholeheartedly support Kyle Kotary as our next Town Supervisor.
I met Kyle in the summer of 2007 as I was running for the office and was struck by how friendly, fair and nice he was to me even though, at the time, we were on competing sides. I was pleasantly surprised at how professional, non-political and genuine he really was. Since then, Kyle and I have become close friends, not because of politics, but because we share many common interests including our community.
The Kyle Kotary I know is nothing like the person his political opponents would have you believe. Having gotten to know him, I can assure you the negative attacks coming from his opponents are simply unfounded and untrue.
Kyle truly cares about our community. He has a passion for local government and has a record of giving back to our Town in many ways, some public and some private. He contributes to our community every day as a coach, mentor, business owner, supporter of local organizations, and more.
Yes, he is a government professional with decades of experience at the federal, state and local levels. Yes, he is a smart political strategist and has an impressive record of winning elections.
But he’s much more than that. Kyle has a comprehensive understanding of all the issues facing the Town of Bethlehem today and in the future. Having served on the Town Board for the past six years, his experience putting together fiscally responsible and balanced town budgets, his management background in both the private and public sectors, and his academic background including his Master’s in Public Administration from the nation’s top program at the Maxwell School of Syracuse University, more than qualify him for the position.
