LATHAM — The Ballston Spa girls volleyball team improved its Suburban Council record to 2-0 with Wednesday's 3-0 victory over Shaker in Latham.
Geena Gallo had eight kills, and Rebecca Stodgell contributed seven kills for the Scotties, who won by scores of 25-17, 25-18 and 25-19. Alexis Smith recorded five aces and eight service points, and Sarah Zdunczyk added eight service points and 13 assists.
Lauren Woods led Shaker (1-1) with nine kills, and Mackenzie Rowland chipped in with six kills.
