Shen, Bethlehem sweep opponents

Two boys volleyball teams start 3-0

— The Shenendehowa and Bethlehem boys volleyball teams improved their records to 3-0 with Suburban Council wins Thursday.

Shen eased past Saratoga Springs by scores of 25-8, 25-8 and 25-16, while Bethlehem swept Guilderland by scores of 25-16, 25-7 and 25-18.

Senior hitter Phil Charbonneau led Shen with six kills, while senior setter Brian Sprague contributed 15 assists. Junior setter Tyler Ostrowski added 11 assists for the Plainsmen.

Mike Marshman led Bethlehem with 11 kills in the Eagles' victory over Guilderland. Mike Carrk had eight kills, and Benji Federman added 31 assists.
