LATHAM — Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake edged Shaker 1-0 in Monday's Suburban Council field hockey game in Latham.

Amy LeBel scored the lone goal of the game, and goaltender Shawna Ryan made three saves for the Lady Spartans.

Emily Phillips stopped five shots for Shaker.
