Shaker wins non-league game against Scotia

O'Neil strikes twice to lead Lady Bison to first win

— The Shaker field hockey team stepped outside the Suburban Council Tuesday and defeated Scotia-Glenville 4-1 in Scotia.

Kelsey O'Neil scored twice to lead the Lady Bison (1-2). O'Neil's first goal came early in the first half, and she scored her second goal with 8:34 left in the second half.

Jenna Jevons and Kaitlin Foster also tallied for Shaker, while Jessica Pajak scored Scotia-Glenville's lone goal.

Shaker goaltender Lauren Coons stopped nine shots, and Scotia-Glenville netminder Patricia Haffner made 12 saves.

The Lady Tartans fell to 0-2 with the loss.
