Schenectady County Primary Election results

— This is a list of the unofficial results according to the Schenectady County Board of Elections as of Tuesday, Sept. 13, at 10:39 p.m. with all 77 precincts reporting. Only the coverage areas of The Spotlight are included in the list. Unless noted, voters were to select one candidate.

The winner(s) of each primary race are bolded. The races are first separated by party and then by municipality. Also, the order of candidates in each primary is according to how many votes they received, with the most votes at the top of each list.

Democrat — County Legislature District 4 (vote for 2)

  • Angelo L. Santabarbara — 824 votes, 41.55 percent
  • Anthony W. Jasenski — 663 votes, 33.43
  • Robert J. Godlewski – 462 votes, 23.30 percent
  • WRITE-IN — 34 votes, 1.71 percent

Democrat — Rotterdam Town Supervisor

  • Harry C. Buffardi, 686 votes, 83.25 percent
  • WRITE-IN — 138 votes, 16.75 percent

Democrat — Rotterdam Town Board (vote for 2)

  • Mike Viscusi — 552 votes, 32.96 percent
  • Wayne W. Calder — 495 votes, 29.55 percent
  • William J. Cooke — 338 votes, 20.18 percent
  • Delores S. Doriguzzi — 261 votes, 15.58 percent
  • WRITE-IN — 29 votes, 1.73 percent

Republican — Rotterdam Town Justice

  • James A. Bradshaw — 332 votes, 52.53 percent
  • Kevin J. Mercoglan — 296 votes, 46.84 percent
  • WRITE-IN — 4 votes, 0.63 percent

Conservative — County Legislature District 3

  • Catherine A. Gatta — 92 votes, 69.17 percent
  • WRITE-IN — 41 votes, 30.83 percent

Conservative — County Legislature District 4 (vote for 2)

  • Angelo L. Santabarbara — 324 votes, 36.99 percent
  • Anthony W. Jasenski — 280 votes, 31.96 percent
  • Mark J. Viscusi — 185 votes, 21.12 percent
  • WRITE-IN — 87 votes, 9.93 percent

Conservative — Niskayuna Town Supervisor

  • Joe Landry — 58 votes, 77.33 percent
  • WRITE-IN — 17 votes, 22.67 percent
