Boys volleyball: Bethlehem, Shen remain perfect

Charbonneau leads Shen past Columbia

Shenendehowa and Bethlehem maintained their perfect boys volleyball records in the Suburban Council with Friday sweeps.

Shen eased past Columbia 3-0, while Bethlehem downed Mohonasen in three games.

Phil Charbonneau recorded eight kills to lead Shen in its 25-10, 25-10, 25-20 victory over Columbia in Clifton Park. Logan Barbour contributed six kills, and Brian Sprague added 27 assists for the Plainsmen (5-0).

Bethlehem (5-0) had little trouble with Mohonasen, as it won by scores of 25-11, 25-9 and 25-7. John Sica and John McCarty each had seven kills for the Eagles, and Benji Federman chipped in with 32 assists.
