Field hockey: Queensbury defeats Scotia

Spartans score five times in second half

— Queensbury scored five times in the second half to defeat Scotia-Glenville 6-2 in Thursday's Foothills Council field hockey game.

Christie Raymond recorded a hat trick for the Spartans. Raymond scored the go-ahead goal nearly eight minutes into the second half and added her third with 2:50 left.

Courtney Jenkins, Olivia Paolano and Sage Grasso-Monroe added goals for Queensbury. Catherine Canape assisted on two of the Spartans' six goals.

Alison Stuart and Taylor Santabarbara scored for Scotia-Glenville. Stuart's goal off a penalty corner with 59 seconds left in the first half tied the score at 1.

Goaltender Patricia Haffner made seven saves for the Lady Tartans.
