Two goals in final eight minutes give Warriors breathing room

— The Niskayuna girls soccer team needed a pair of late goals to put away Averill Park 5-2 in Thursday's Suburban Council game.

Meghan Doyle and Emily Dewald each scored in the first half to put Niskayuna ahead 2-0. Claire Everett tallied in the opening minute of the second half to pull Averill Park within a goal, but Kayleigh Higgins scored six minutes later to re-establish Niskayuna's two-goal lead.
