Boys volleyball: Bethlehem wins battle of unbeatens

Eagles edge Plainsmen in three games

— The Bethlehem boys volleyball team defeated Shenendehowa 3-0 in Monday's battle of Suburban Council leaders, but it was far from easy.

The Eagles (9-0) had to fight for every game against the Plainsmen (8-1), but they pulled off a 25-22, 25-22, 25-23 sweep to maintain their perfect record.

Mike Marshman led Bethlehem with 16 kills, while Mike Carrk and Jake Abbuhl combined for 14 kills. Setter Benji Federman added 29 assists.

Logan Barbour had 18 kills, while Phil Charbonneau and Nick Clark combined for 15 kills to pace Shen. Brian Sprague recorded 37 assists, and Alex Brovich had five digs.
