Baseball: Kerr pitches Saratoga past Queensbury

Spartans limited to three hits in shutout

Casey Kerr pitched a three-hit shutout to lead the Saratoga Springs baseball team past Queensbury 2-0 in Saturday's non-league game.

Kerr struck out 11 batters and walked only one to help the Blue Streaks improve their record to 4-1.

Zach Forbes drove in the game's first run in the bottom of the first inning, and Dan Rittenhouse added the other run-scoring hit in the third for Saratoga. Forbes finished with two hits, as did Jack Herman.

Queensbury's record dipped to 1-1.
