Saturday round-up: Big second half propels Guilderland

Dutchmen score eight goals after halftime in league win over Colonie

The Guilderland boys lacrosse team broke open a close game with an eight-goal second half as it defeated Colonie 11-2 in Saturday's Suburban Council game.

Connor Drislane, Connor McLachlan and Cody Dyer each scored two goals to lead the Dutchmen. Taylor Dubose contributed a goal and three assists, and goaltender Sean Klim made seven saves in three quarters of work.

Mike Metzger and Andrew Hooten tallied Colonie's goals, and goaltender Brendan Deady stopped 12 shots.


Queensbury scored 10 runs in the top of the seventh inning to rally past Bethlehem 11-4 in Saturday's non-league game in Delmar.

Zach Parsons doubled for the Spartans, who also took advantage of three Bethlehem errors. Brendan Behan homered for the Eagles.
