Differencesin the fee structure between SEMS and what was proposed included an advanced life support 2 (ALS 2) increase from $625 per call to $900 and a mileagei ncrease from $12 per mile to $15 per mile.
Franck asked Mathiesen if the rates were comparable to similar services in other areas. Mathiesen stated they were and that he had been talking with Empire.
“They’re maybe not exactly the same, but they are comparable,” he said.
After more than an hour of discussion, it was decided that rates would remain the same as what SEMS was charging until the matter could be revisited at Tuesday’sregular City Council meeting.
