The Saratoga Springs High School Academic Team is gearing upfor a national competition.
“They’ll be competing against teams from all over the country over two days of competitions. They’re pretty excited about it,” said Silver.
So where do they get the questions? Questions Unlimited. They arethe supplier of questions and answers for academic competition and sponsor the National Academic Championship. According to Questions Unlimited, “Academic competition generates the kind of publicity and attention for bright studentst that is normally reserved for star athletes. To participating students andtheir peers, it sends the message that ‘It's cool to be smart.’"
The team is seeking financial contributions to help defray thecost of the Chicago trip. Checks made out to "Academic Team" may besent to Alicia Silver at Saratoga Springs High School, 1 Blue Streak Blvd.,Saratoga Springs, 12866.
