First New York’s services extend beyond offering checking accounts, savings accounts and loans. The credit union offers money market and IRA accounts, financial planning and investment services, and it also helps area youth with banking education services, student loans and scholarships. Three area high schools have student-run First New York branches – Mohonasen, Schenectady and Schoharie.
