In conjunction with our feature story about Jimmer Fredette's return to the region last week to conduct a youth basketball camp, we're asking you how will Glens Falls' most famous athlete will do when he returns to action this fall with the NBA's Sacramento Kings.
Last season was a tough one for Fredette. First, the NBA lockout prevented him from participating in any off-season team training programs that might have helped him make a smooth transition from the collegiate ranks to the pro level. Then, Sacramento changed head coaches early in the season. That was followed by uneven playing time off the bench for Fredette. Some nights, he'd score 10 or more points and play for 15 minutes. Other nights, he'd be sitting on the sidelines for the whole game.
Fredette will have the benefit of a full off-season training program this summer, along with the knowledge he gained from his rookie season. But will that translate into a regular role with the Kings, or will he find himself in the same position he was in during his rookie season?
