Accounting for success

QuickBooks advisor offers training with no string attached

In addition to setting up QuickBooks, Venetz can evaluate a prior problematic setup or ongoing misuse of the software, and then provide appropriate adjustments. She can provide documentation services, too, helping to create a procedure handbook to enable consistency and allow new employees to get “up to speed” faster.

Accounting and bookkeeping firms often offer classes on QuickBooks and related training, but she said their main intention might be to have you as a client.

“I am not necessarily looking for an ongoing relationship,” she said. “My goal isn’t to give you the basics and if you are confused say, ‘Why don’t you let me do your bookkeeping?’”

Venetz prefers to visit a client’s office in person to use their actual finances, but she also can do one-on-one training outside of the business using its books or a similar example. To learn more about services offered, visit www.QuickBooksTrainingAlbany.com.
