Milestone Restaurant & Bar in Glenmont has an old-school elegance with a modern twist.
The restaurant has also been doing a brisk business cooking for and hosting special events.
“We’re doing a lot more catering for private parties than we even anticipated,” says Mastrantuono.
Milestone is about more than great food; it is a restaurant with a heart. Chef Michael says the restaurant has backed a number of causes, from autism awareness to breast cancer research, and the owners frequently host fundraising events where 10 percent of a diner’s bill is donated.
Where there is a need, “I make myself readily available,” says Chef Michael.
Recently the chef donated for auction a five-course meal for two with wine pairing to benefit Living Resources.
