As we've reached the end of the high school sports season, we ask you which of these people deserve to be the Coach of the Year in Schenectady County. Here are your four choices:
Angelo Caschera (Schalmont girls soccer) -- Guided the Sabres to a perfect 23-0-0 record and the program's first state title. Schalmont outscored its opponents 123-7 and recorded 17 shutouts, including the state championship-clinching 4-0 victory over Greece Odyssey.
Corey Gregg (Mohonasen boys soccer) -- Gregg and the Mighty Warriors won their third Section II Class A title in the last four years by beating Queensbury 2-0 in the finals.
James Giammattei (Scotia-Glenville boys basketball) -- The Tartans maneuvered through a tough Class A field to win the Sectional championship and gave Section III power Jamesville-DeWitt a battle before losing in the regional finals.
Mike Vorgang (Niskayuna boys lacrosse) -- Coached the Silver Warriors to a Section II and regional Class A title in a season where Niskayuna averaged nearly 17 goals per game.
Voting will remain open until midnight Tuesday, and the winner of this poll moves on to next week's poll where we will determine who the overall Coach of the Year should be.
