BETHLEHEM Two people were arrested for possession of heroin and crack cocaine after being stopped on the thruway by State Police in the Town of Bethlehem.
Police said the vehicle was stopped on Tuesday, March 6 around 2:30 p.m. on I-87. Larry Freeman, 62 of Albany was driving the car and Teshon Traynham, 40, of Troy was his passenger.
Troopers searched the vehicle with the assistance of the Albany Police K-9 Unit, said police. Inside they found 6.1 grams of crack cocaine and 50 small heroin packets.
Police said Freeman and Traynham were both charged with 4th degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and 7th degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor.
The pair were arraigned in the Town of Bethlehem Court and remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility on no bail pending further court action.
