Guilderland High School graduate Jon Busch is playing his third season with the San Jose Earthquakes.
“When I first came in, the only soccer-specific stadium was in Columbus,” said Busch. “(The growth of new facilities) shows that the league is here to stay. It just raises the profile of the league because we all have our own stadiums.”
Busch plans to continue playing in MLS as the league continues to grow. Only 35 years old, he said he feels like he still has several years ahead of him.
“I never try to take a day off, and I never try to take a play off,” said Busch. “The day I do that is the day that I retire.”
