Plainsmen seek third straight Class A title with mostly new lineup

— Shen will provide Robbins significant offensive support. Attacker Michael Jenkins and midfielder Brian Rogers will lead the attack, while Nick Arnold and D.J. Edick will provide scoring depth from their midfield positions.

“Everybody that’s going to be a starter in the midfield this year played at the varsity level last year,” said Holohan.

That varsity playing experience will be key for Shen to survive a tough Suburban Council North Division that features Niskayuna, Ballston Spa and defending Section II Class B champion Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake.

“Nisky is Nisky. They are a powerhouse team,” said Holohan. “And Ballston Spa, (head coach) Joe Pollicino has done a fantastic job in bringing that program up.”
