43 total votes.
We're closing in on the start of the spring sports at area high schools, so we're asking you to pick the team that you think will win the Section II Class AA softball title this year. Here are your choices:
Bethlehem -- The defending champions have to replace most of their starting infield positions, but they return several key players including pitcher Meagan Sullivan, catcher Sammy Smaldone and outfielders McKenzie Pezze and Cassie Smith.
Shenendehowa -- The Plainswomen are on target to return to the Sectional final with several players back from last year, but they will have to fend off a challenge from Shaker in the Suburban Council North Division first.
Shaker -- The Blue Bison also have a veteran crew led by pitcher Erica Vallecorsa, and they should challenge Shen for the North Division title.
Colonie -- Bethlehem's closest competition last year in the Suburban South Division, the Lady Raiders will try to make another run at the Sectional title, which is something they won in 2010.
Columbia -- Another traditional Suburban power, the Blue Devils will make things tough for any opponent this year.
Voting will remain open until midnight Monday, so cast your votes today.
