continued Chambers, 33, of 626 Draper Ave. in Rotterdam, and his girlfriend driving the vehicle, Amy L. Brzoza, 31, of 7 Kellar Ave. in Rotterdam, were taken into custody by police after the crash.
Police on Monday, April 23, at approximately 11:30 a.m. also stopped a vehicle driven by Larry J. Ahrens, 33, of 1773 Amsterdam Ave. in Rotterdam, in connection with the investigation.
All three individuals were arrested and charged with arson in the first degree and two counts of arson in the third degree, both felonies. Police said additional charges would be filed as the investigation continues.
Ahrens, Chambers and Brzoza were arraigned by Judge Kenneth Litz and remanded to the Schenectady County Jail without bail.
