Monday, May 7: A special lunch of chicken parmesan with banana cream pie for dessert. Peter Yakel will be performing.

Friday, May 11: Join us for the 14th Annual Mother’s Day fashion show and luncheon on Friday, May 11, to benefit Transportation Services for seniors. The event will kickoff at 11:30 a.m. with lunch catered by Sodexo. The fashion show will feature men’s fashions by Macy’s By Appointment and women’s fashions by Christopher & Banks with accessories by Charming Charlie. Seats fill up quick and reservations are required so be sure to call 459-2857 ext. 303 to RSVP. The event is sponsored by Sodexo, CDTA, & CDPHP. For more information, visit colonieseniors.org.

Saturday, May 19: The Beltrone Living Center is hosting an open house. Join us for a tour of the premier senior living community in the Capital District. The Beltrone Living Center is located just off Wolf Road with The Crossings of Colonie as our backyard. The Beltrone Living Center community is a warm, vibrant atmosphere for older adults with plenty of activities and choices for a variety of interests.

Choose from one or two bedroom apartments and suites with or without balconies. Call 459-2711 for more information.

Monday, May 21: We will be having a special dinner of roast beef with Matthew Connell performing hits from the ’50s to today.

Thursday, May 24: The Driver Fitness Center is offering a CarFitClinic from 9 a.m. to noon at Sheehy Manor. CarFit is a free, educational and strictly confidential program that helps senior drivers find out how well they “fit” their vehicles and offers solutions to any problems that may arise since as we age, changes in our vision, flexibility, strength, range of motion and even height may make us less comfortable and less confident behind the wheel. Anyone interested in participating should call 459-2857 ext. 303 to register.
