Now that we've passed the Memorial Day weekend, it's time to start thinking about summer and all of the great sports options we have here in the Capital District. Which one of the following places are you anxious to go to?
Albany Dutchmen home games -- The Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League franchise features some NCAA Division I talent including Latham brothers Will and Zach Remillard. Home games are played at Bob Bellizzi Field -- part of The College of Saint Rose's Plumeri Sports Complex.
New York Giants training camp -- The defending Super Bowl champions return to the University at Albany in late July for four weeks of workouts and scrimmages. This is area NFL fans' best chance to see Eli Manning, Victor Cruz and the rest of the Giants up close.
Saratoga Race Course -- People near and far have flocked to the nation's oldest thoroughbred race track year after year, and this summer should be no different. And there is a possibility that we'll see a Triple Crown winner -- that is, if I'll Have Another can win the Belmont Stakes.
Tri-City ValleyCats home games -- The New York-Penn League affiliate of the Houston Astros surpassed the 1 million fan mark not long ago, which goes to show how good pro baseball, good weather and good promotions can work together to bring people to the ballpark.
Voting will be open until its customary midnight Monday deadline. So, tell us where you're looking to go for your summer sports action.
