In September, Crossgates officials announced the addition of the Brazilian steakhouse chain Texas de Brazil. It will be located across from the Apple store on the lower level of the space once occupied by Macy’s. Construction will start soon with the restaurant opening in the spring of 2013. Other additions include a Wilson Leather store and an Oakley store selling outdoor gear.
Castaldo said he is hoping to finish a deal with another big attraction next year on the mall’s third level.
“With more tenants coming, it’s easier to lease space within the center,” he said. “Dave and Buster’s will be a big draw and we’re hoping people will come around because of the traffic they generate.”
