Selkirk homeowner robbed

Police say suspects were armed; cash taken

— A Selkirk homeowner was robbed early this morning by three armed men demanding cash, according to Bethlehem police.

Around 3:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4, police said the homeowner of 39 Dorchester Ave., Selkirk had just returned home from work when he was approached by three men wearing black masks. The homeowner reported to police that one of the suspects had a gun, while another had a baseball bat.

Police said the homeowner was then forced inside his residence and the men demanded cash. An unknown amount of cash was given to the men, before the fled the scene in an unknown direction.

A next door neighbor reported the robbery, said police.

The homeowner was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries he sustained from being hit with the bat, said police. There were no other occupants within the house at the time of the incident.
