Boys volleyball: Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake beats Shen in four games

Dan Symer's 12 kills pace Spartans

The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake boys volleyball team defeated Shenendehowa 3-1 in Wednesday's Suburban Council match in Clifton Park.

The Spartans won the first two games 25-17 and 25-23 before the Plainsmen rallied to win the third game 26-24. BH-BL closed the match with a 25-20 victory in the fourth game.

Dan Symer recorded 12 kills and two blocks to lead the Spartans. Geoff Putnam and Jon Weaver each contributed nine kills, and Devin Sandmann added 26 assists.

Ryan McSwiggin had 11 kills, and Josh Olsen chipped in with seven kills for Shen. Setter Tyler Ostrowski added 30 assists.
