“Anytime you’re running against an incumbent you have to point to their record…we felt that Mr. Soares’ record over the last eight years in office…we didn’t think it was something to be proud of and something to run on so we ran against it,” Ayala said.
As for Kindlon’s future, Ayala said he has a lot of hope for the defense attorney.
“Lee is only 36 years old. I think he’s got a very bright future in whatever he decides to do, whether that’s elected office or private practice,” Ayala said.
Soares does not face a challenger in the November general election.
