Bethlehem beats Rotterdam in wild 10-inning title game

The Bethlehem Babe Ruth 15-year-old All-Stars won the All County Championship this year. The Bethlehem Babe Ruth 15-year-old All-Stars won the All County Championship this year. — The Bethlehem Babe Ruth 15-year-old All Stars needed two days and 10 innings to defeat Rotterdam 13-12 for the All County tournament title.

Tiarnan Barrett and Paul Hegeman had RBI singles in the top of the 10th inning to give Bethlehem a 13-11 lead. Rotterdam responded with a run in the bottom of the 10th before reliever Eric DeYoe got the final out.

The game started on July 17 and had to be suspended due to darkness with the score tied at 11-11 in the top of the 10th inning. Bethlehem led by as many as five runs.
