Hockey: Shaker/Colonie shuts out Clinton

Two third-period goals propel Jets to non-league win

— The Shaker/Colonie hockey team scored twice in the third period to pull out a 2-0 non-league win over Clinton (Section III) in Friday's non-league game at the Albany County Hockey Facility.

Kevin Egan scored less than five minutes into the final period, and Brendon Closs added an insurance goal in the final minute to give the Jets (3-1-0) their final margin of victory. Goaltender Zach Dignum made 23 saves for his second shutout of the season.

Clinton visits Bethlehem Saturday.
