Police said the woman’s car was located in the parking lot of the Colonie Town Library. She is Beverly J. Coss, of Burlington, Iowa, and she was last seen at the library yesterday at about 9 a.m. When her car was still in the lot 12 hours later at 9 p.m., library employees became concerned and called the police.

Coss is believed to have been in the area for either church or disaster relief activities, police said.

Police found a note addressed to “Police” that “indicated that she was despondent and may be a danger to herself.” Police said it looked like Coss had been living in her vehicle.

A search of the area didn’t turn up any sign of Coss. Police described here as 70 years old, white, standing 5’ 5”, weighing 140 lbs. and having brown eyes and brown hair.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Colonie police at 783-2744.
