— In a rematch of last fall's Section II Class AA final, the Guilderland girls soccer team defeated Bethlehem 1-0 Tuesday in their Suburban Council South Division opener.

Alyssa Kogelmann's goal with less than 14 minutes left in the first half proved to be the difference for the Lady Dutch, who enter this season as the defending Sectional champions. Guilderland held a 7-3 advantage in shots over the Lady Eagles.

Bethlehem goaltender Miranda Manziam made five saves, while Guilderland netminders Carli Weinberg and Taylor Dorado combined for three saves.
