— Lightning struck the bell tower of the Ballston Center Reformed Presbyterian Chrurch on Wed. night causing a fire.

Local fire companies battled the fire and contained it to the tower, with only smoke and water damage to the main church. In 1993 a fire destroyed the church, but spared the bell tower.

Cleanup crews were on the scene Wed and Thurs. The church plans to have services this weekend.
