LETTER: Smaller legislature makes good sense

Editor, The Spotlight:

I was very pleased to read at least one Albany County Legislator speak up in support of a reduced-size legislature. In his letter published in The Spotlight of March 5, Legislator Lee Carman expressed his support of the recommendation by the Albany County Charter Reform Committee to reduce the 39-member legislature to 25 members subject to certain conditions which, to me, sound reasonable.

It’s now up to the majority party to bring the issue before the public and the full legislature.
