Mahan thanked her family and everyone for their support in her campaign. Then she thanked Hornick for his dedicated service to the board and welcomed David Green to the team. After thanking everyone who helped her and the town, Mahan looked to the future.

“Six years ago, we set out to put Colonie’s financial house in order. I’m so proud that we have succeeded together, as a team. It was an incredible accomplishment eliminating the town’s deficit in four years. Our next goal is to build the much-needed reserve funds for the town and the reserve funds that now stand at $1.45 million,” said Mahan. “Although there are still challenges ahead, we enter 2014 confident that we can continue our projects. With the help of my administration, town employees and the members of our community, we will continue to strengthen our financial position, while delivering outstanding services.”
