As we head towards the home stretch of the regular season, we want to know which of these five players is your choice as the Suburban Council's top boys basketball player:

Jahlil Nails (Columbia) -- The junior forward currently leads the league in points per game average (25.3) and has the Blue Devils sitting second in the South Division standings with an 8-3 record (8-5 overall).

Connor Morelli (Bethlehem) -- The senior guard raised his average to 20.3 points per game with a season-high 29-point effort in Tuesday's 80-68 loss to Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake. Morelli has scored at least 20 points in each of Bethlehem's last four games, during which the Eagles have a 2-2 record (4-6 league, 5-7 overall).

Austin Nydegger (Burnt Hills) -- It's been a tough season for the Spartans (1-10, 1-13), but that hasn't stopped Nydegger from being a force. The senior guard is averaging 18.3 points per game, including a 32-point night against Bethlehem Tuesday.

Andrew Platek (Guilderland) -- The sophomore guard has been one of the reasons why the Dutchmen (10-1, 11-1) have vaulted to the top of the South Division standings. He's averaging a team-high 15.9 points per game, including 26 three-pointers.

Nolan Smith (Colonie) -- Another outstanding player on a struggling team, Smith has kept the Garnet Raiders (3-7. 4-8) close with his shooting abilities. The junior guard is averaging 17.3 points per game and has sank 25 three-pointers.

And as a late entry:

Noah Arciero (Saratoga) -- The player who broke the backboard on a dunk at Ballston Spa (the video of which has gone national via ESPN and USA Today) is averaging 20.7 points per game for the Blue Streaks (5-5, 7-5).

Choose among these six individuals. Voting will remain open through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
