BETHLEHEM After a summer of anticipation and a fall construction period that spilled into winter, O’Slattery’s Irish Pub opened Sunday, Dec. 20 at Main Square Shoppes in Delmar, 318 Delaware Ave.
After initially intending to open in August, then pushing the start date back to a tentative “before Thanksgiving,” the restaurant overcame construction difficulties, including one incident in which water on Delaware Avenue was stopped for several hours due to workers hitting a water main, to finally open just before Christmas.
Word is the food is delicious.
The authentic Irish pub serves typical Irish fare on a limited menu in its small, homey restaurant side, with a separate large bar area complete with an even longer draft list, which includes local brews and ciders. An outdoor patio will open for warm weather, seating about 25 people, next to Shogun’s patio.
