The Niskayuna boys soccer team won for the third time in its last four games by shutting out Shaker 3-0 Tuesday in a Suburban Council North Division game.

Ethan Kelly scored a goal in each half, and Kyle Maiuccoro added a goal off a feed from Tanner MacIvor for the Silver Warriors (6-7). Ryan Tauss assisted on both of Kelly’s goals.

The victory over Shaker came five days after Niskayuna suffered a 1-0 overtime loss to Saratoga Springs. The game was scoreless until the final minute of the second overtime, when Will Johns scored off a deflection for the Blue Streaks.

Niskayuna has three games remaining in the regular season, beginning with Thursday’s North Division game at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake.

In other boys soccer action Tuesday, Bethlehem scored four times in the first half on its way to a 6-0 victory over Mohonasen.

Danny Carillo had a hat trick for the Eagles, who outshot the Mighty Warriors (2-10-1) 13-5.

On the other side of Rotterdam, Schalmont responded emphatically to its first Colonial Council loss of the season last Tuesday against Voorheesville with a 5-0 victory over Mechanicville last Friday.

Will Gavin and Ian Webster each had a goal and an assist for the Sabres. Zac Saccocio, Antonio Learned and Steve Oliveria added the other Schalmont goals.

The Sabres (9-1 league, 9-3 overall) returned to action Wednesday when they hosted Cohoes.

Scotia-Glenville (5-2-4) also had a big offensive day last Friday, as the Tartans defeated Foothills Council rival Hudson Falls 5-1.

Nick Hlat, Caleb Buchanan, Bryce Campbell, Chris Alescio and John Kovel tallied for Scotia-Glenville, which traveled to South Glen Falls Wednesday.

Schenectady Christian im-proved its record to 7-3 with last Friday’s 2-0 Western Athletic Conference South Division victory over Berne-Knox-Westerlo.

Taiwo Aderounmo scored twice in a 10-minute span of the first half to lift the Falcons (8-3) past the Bulldogs for the second time this season.

Schenectady Christian traveled to Duanesburg Wednesday for the first of two consecutive games against the Eagles.
