Seasonal influenza clinic

Jackie Sher 11/02/09More articles
The Saratoga County Department of Public Health will hold a Seasonal Influenza Vaccine Clinic on Tuesday, Nov. 3 at the Saratoga County Fire Training Center, 6010 County Farm Road, Ballston Spa from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. by appointment only.
Directions to the site will be posted on Saratoga County Public Health’s Web site at http://www.saratogacountyny.gov.
Earlier this year, Saratoga County Public Health had to cancel all seasonal flu clinics due to a lack of supply. New York State Department of Health has been able to provide the county with a limited supply of seasonal flu vaccine. Due to the limited supply and demand for the vaccine, they are taking appoints for adults 19 and older, who are at high risk for having serious seasonal flu-related complications or care for/live with someone who is at high risk for complications.
The groups the Saratoga County Health Department is targeting are:
- Pregnant women.
- People 19 years of age and older with chronic medical conditions.
- Healthcare workers.
- People caring for children less than 6 months of age.
For more information or to schedule an appointment, call 584-7460 after 9:30 a.m. or visit http://www.saratogacountyny.gov.
